Gray to stay!

After investigating his options, Georgia quarterback Logan Gray, has decided to stay in Athens. Gray informed Coach Mark Richt of his decision today. The plan going forward is for Gray to work at wide receiver, as well as quarterback.

“I have decided to stay at the University of Georgia because I truly do love being a Georgia Bulldog,” Gray said in a written statement this afternoon. “I want to be a part of this team getting back to the SEC championship game and winning it."

“I’m also looking forward to getting some work at receiver and am going to work hard to make the best out of my opportunity at this position as well. I appreciate Coach Richt’s patience while I made this decision and his helpful advice. Now, I want to put all of this behind me and focus on getting to work on preparations for next season at UGA.”

Said Richt: “I’m extremely pleased that Logan has decided to remain a Bulldog. He’s an outstanding player and a great person as well. We’re fortunate to have him, and he’ll be an important part of our team over the next two years.”

I am glad to see Gray stick around. I do think he will get more playing time this year both at QB and in a slot back type role. Having him on the field makes the defense have to prepare for many different options. And you never know, he could be the starter soon since Murray seems to be injury proned. I think it was a good decision by Logan!

Go Dawgs!
