The Vatican’s picks

This list has been out for a while but I just got around to checking it out. The Vatican's newpaper L'Osservatore Romano released its top ten pop-rock albums in what it calls a semi-serious list. In no particular order here is the complete list:

‘Achtung Baby’ by U2

‘Supernatural’ by Carlos Santana

'Revolver' by The Beatles

'(What's the Story) Morning Glory' by Oasis

'The Nightfly' by Donald Fagen

'If I Could Only Remember My Name' by David Crosby

'Graceland' by Paul Simon

'Dark Side of the Moon' by Pink Floyd

'Rumours' by Fleetwood Mac

'Thriller' by Michael Jackson

I find this list intriguing! There are some great albums on this list but the L'Osservatore Romano must not have taken into account the musician or the band and some of their lifestyles into account. If they did, most of these artists would not be approved by the Vatican. I just have a hard time picturing the Pope listening to Oasis and Pink Floyd!
Rock on Pope Benedict!
