Georgia/Auburn

This is the oldest rivalry in the Deep South and this will be the 113th time these two teams have meet. Georgia is trying to win for the fourth straight year, something that has not happened since the 1940’s. This is always a tough game no matter what the teams records are for the season. This year, the War Tigers come to Athens with a 7-3 record and are ranked 25th in the country.

I feel like the Dawgs have a good shot at winning this game. They need to limit the turnovers and get the running game rolling early. That will allow AJ Green some space down field and if Joe Cox can get him the ball, he will do the rest. Auburn has a solid running game and three legit backs that can run the rock. They have some pretty gaudy stats but most of their yards have come against teams like Furman, Ball State and Louisiana Tech. The Dawgs “D” is going to have to step it up and contain these guys but this is not an impossible task. I think it is going to be a tough game and it will come down to a big 4th quarter drive to win the game. I just hope the home team is the one who completes that big drive at the end of the game for the win. Kick off is set for 7:00pm and will air on ESPN2.

Go Dawgs!
