More former Dawgs in the booth

Two former Georgia football stars, David Greene and Kevin Butler, will be joining the Bulldogs’ radio broadcast team this season. They complete an expanded cast that will provide nine hours of radio programming each game day. Butler, the former All-America placekicker, and Greene, the former All-SEC quarterback, will have roles on the pregame and postgame shows. Butler will join the shows for home games and Greene for road games.

The other members of the radio team have been previously announced or confirmed: Scott Howard will be play-by-play voice and Eric Zeier color analyst on the game broadcasts; Loran Smith and Neil “Hondo” Williamson will continue as co-hosts of three hours of the pregame show; Howard and Zeier also will have roles within the pregame show; Smith will continue as sideline reporter during games; and WSB-TV sports director Chuck Dowdle will conduct post-game locker-room interviews.

I am looking forward to the new expanded coverage on game day this year. Since Larry is gone, the Dawgs fans need some familiar names giving them their Dawgs info. I can’t wait tun September 5th!

Go Dawgs!
