SEC = BCS Champs again!

As much as it pains me to congratulate the Gators, I guess they do deserve it for beating Oklahoma last night in the BCS Championship game. This is the second time in three years that the Gators have won the BCS Championship and it is the third straight championship for the SEC. I think we can put to rest which conference was better this year the Big 12 or the SEC. Well in head to head bowl games this season, the SEC won both! I know it is hard to truly compare them to each other since one conference is known for their offense (Big 12) and the other is known for their defense (SEC). But in the game last night, Florida’s defense proved how strong it was and also proved their offense is better by winning 24-14. I, just like most people, thought it was going to be a shootout and it was going to be a high scoring game. But neither QB could make any of the long completions they have been used to all year. The only difference is Florida adapted and utilized their speed and running backs more than Oklahoma. It was a pretty exciting game and that was all I was looking for. I would have loved to see the Gators lose and Tebow cry again, but I also am sick of hearing how dominant the Oklahoma and the Big 12 were this season. I know that if the top teams (Oklahoma, Texas, Texas Tech, Missouri) were to play in the SEC, they would have several loses most years, just like most the teams in the SEC. The SEC is just a tough conference to win in on a week-to-week basis.

Anyway, congrats to the Gator Nation on another championship. I just wonder if the announcers for Fox have climbed out of Tim Tebow’s butt yet? I haven’t heard such an embarrassing display of man love from TV announcers since the entire staff at CNN was gushing over Obama! Enough already!
