The Georgia Bulldogs found out that another underclassman will be skipping his senior year in Athens to go play in the NFL. Cornerback Asher Allen has declared for the draft and this will not help the troubled Dawgs defense next year. Allen was one of 13 semifinalists for the 2008 Jim Thorpe Award, which is given annually to the nation’s top defensive back. I definitely think that Asher was a strong corner in college and will be a great pickup for any NFL team, but I also feel that he definitely needed another year in the red and black. But, his decision has been made and I wish him luck. That just means that I would expect big time recruit Branden Smith to come in and play as a freshman next year for sure.
Thanks #2 for a couple of good years and good luck to you at the next level!Go Dawgs!
