Hawks push it to the end!

Well, the rematch of the first round of last years NBA playoffs lived up to all of the hype! The 6-0 Atlanta Hawks traveled up to Boston to face the 7-1 Celtics for the first time this season and it felt like a playoff game. The Boston crowd was louder and more obnoxious than normal and the players were all pumped up! It was a great back and forth game and it came down to a couple of last second shots. The Hawks took the lead with about 7 seconds with a 3-pointer from Marvin Willams only to lose the game on a 20 footer from Paul Pierce with 1.5 seconds left, 103-102. Even thought it goes in the books as a loss, it is hard to consider it a loss. The Hawks had so many things going against them last night and they still almost pulled off the win. I think this proves that the Hawks are for real this year. So start up the bandwagon and everyone prepare to jump on, it is going to be a fun season! Here is the last second, game winning shot by Pierce. As you can see, he was defended well!

Nice job Hawks!
