Redemption time!

OK Dawgs, lets put that embarrassing performance against Alabama two weeks ago behind us and lets redeem ourselves. Not only for the awful defeat by Alabama, but also for the even more embarrassing showing against Tennessee last year. Tennessee has won three out of the last four between the teams and all have been in big fashion. Georgia has always had problems with Tennessee even when they seem to be having a down year. They are definitely having a down year and there are already cries for the firing of the Great Pumpkin (Coach Fulmer). But that just makes the Vols even more dangerous. I don’t know what it is about that the Vols that seems to spook the Dawgs, maybe it is the horrible orange color, maybe the song “Rocky Top” has a disorienting effect on the team, or maybe it is the site of all of their fans in their hunting gear, but something always distracts the Dawgs and they never play up to their potential. Even though UGA is ranked #10 and UT is not ranked at all, I still expect a tough game. I hope Coach Richt has his team ready to play and they are more disciplined and don’t make stupid penalties. We have the most penalties in division 1 football. That is not a stat to be proud of! Georgia needs to get back to basics, they need to control the ball, they need to take what the defense gives them and not let the Vols hang around with dumb penalties. Kick off is at 3:30 and the game will be shown on CBS. I am nervous, but still confident that the Dawgs will turn their recent losing streak against the Vols around. I think it is going to be close, but the Dawgs still pull off the victory. I just hope I don't have to hear "Rocky Top" to often, man I hate that song!
