Over the weekend, the Diamond Dawgs took care of business by wining the Athens Super Regional and have advanced to the College World Series. This is the third time in the past five years the Dawgs are heading back to Omaha. On Sunday, the Dawgs jumped on the NC State Wolfpack and scored 9 runs in the first inning. They didn’t look back and went on to win 17-8. Georgia advances to the CWS for the sixth time in program history and the third time under head coach David Perno. The SEC Champion Diamond Dawgs will play their first game at world famous Rosenblatt Stadium against No. 1 ranked Miami this weekend. Let’s keep the momentum rolling!
