Back to real life!

First of all, I apologize for not having any posts last week. We were on vacation and I planned on getting online and posting some while we were gone. But the house didn’t have internet access and the other houses that were close by that did have wifi, had all of their networks secure. So I wasn’t able to get on line to post or check email. It was actually very nice!

Meg, the boys and I went down to St. George Island Florida for a week. Joining us for the entire week were our good friends, the Joyners and the Cobbs were down there for half the time. The weather was terrific, the beach and the water were beautiful, the house was incredible and the company was fantastic. We all had a good time and made some great memories. We ate amazing meals made with the freshest seafood and drank some good wines (along with some descent wines late night). The kids got along great as did the adults and we can’t wait to start planning the trip for next year.

I know I missed a lot of topics last week. Hilary bowing out and endorsing Obama, the Stanley cup was won by the Redwings, Big Brown failed to win the Triple Crown, Chipper Jones hitting his 400th home run, the death of the legendary sports caster, Jim McKay, and some other big stories. I might make an attempt to touch on them later in the week, but I will probably just stay current. Again, I didn’t mean to leave you hanging all week big this coming week things will get back to normal and I will be posting most everyday. That is once I get caught up at work! Man, it is going to be tough to get back in the groove of everyday life after being a lazy beach bum for a week. The picture below just says it all!
