Coach Richt visits the White House

Five NCAA football coaches, including Georgia's Mark Richt, have filled President Bush in on their recent visit to military bases in the Middle East. Notre Dame head coach Charlie Weis told Bush Monday at the White House that they came home probably more inspired than the troops were. The head coaches visited military personnel in Germany, Qatar, Bahrain, United Arab Emirates and aboard the USS Nassau, on a trip coordinated by the Defense Department. Not only did the coaches meet and talk with the troops, they coached a flag football game on one base. I am sure the troops were excited to meet some great college football coaches.

The other coaches on the trip and stopping by the Oval Office were Randy Shannon from the University of Miami, Yale University's Jack Siedlecki and Tommy Tuberville of Auburn.

Nice job guys!
