Joseph Daniel Vineyards is relatively new to wine making. I wasn’t able to find any press on this winery or pictures of the label, but I know that it is located in Sonoma and it is a partnership between Joseph Carr and Ted Edwards. The winery is only a few years old and their first vintage was a 2002 Cab. The bottle I had was a 2003 and I had been sitting on it for a couple of years. After opening it and letting it breath for about 30 minutes, I poured the glasses and first noticed the dark almost purple color. The aromas were of powerful fruit, plum, black cherry and a touch of leather. This wine is big and has tastes of cherry, some spice and smooth tannins. After it opened up some, it became very smooth and relaxed. It was a very nice wine and would probably age very well. I wish I had sat on it for at least another year. It really went well with the filet mignon and stuffed mushrooms that we grilled that night. This wine is typical of California Cabs, big, bold and smooth on the finish. It retails for $18.99 in the Atlanta area and I have seen it in a couple of stores around town. If you run across it, pick up two bottles one to enjoy now and one to age for a while before drinking. It will be worth the wait.Cheers!

yum...the wine and the meal sound delicious!
You should try Joseph Carr's "Josh" cab which is dedicated to his father. Yummy and only $14.99 at my local wine store. Carr does a very nice job with all of his wines. I'm sitting on a 2002 Joseph Daniel cab.
