Delta Flight #6

With the finial season for Braves Manager Bobby Cox, Delta Airlines surprised the skipper with his own plane. Well, sort of! This is the last road trip of the season for the Braves and there was a big send off for the team and for Bobby Cox on Thursday. Delta has temporarily painted the number 6 on the side of the Braves Charter plane in honor of the longtime manager. There were thousands of Delta employees and fans there to send the team off. Bobby Cox addressed the crowd before they took off and seemed genuinely surprised.

This is a very important road trip for the Braves. They need to get on a hot streak to end the season if they want to make the playoffs. They are currently 3 games behind Philly in the division and only leading the wild card race by a half a game. Every game left is crucial! I still have faith the Braves can pull it off and win the division. They face the Phillies 6 out of the last 15 games and if they can win 4 or 5 of those games they will win the division. They might also need some help from some other teams, but if the Braves concentrate on winning their games, the rest will fall in line. (I hope!) The best retirement gift the players could give their manager is a trip to the playoffs and eventually the World Series.

Thanks Bobby and Go Braves!
