“I’m a Dog, baby!”

This is a quote from the latest top recruit to officially select the University of Georgia to play his college football. Hutson Mason, the record setting QB from Lassiter High School, made the announcement last night. Mason set the state passing record with 4,522 yards and 54 touchdowns while leading Lassiter to a 13-1 record this past season. He picked UGA over Clemson, Miss St., Iowa and several other schools. Sounds like the plan is to redshirt Mason next year, since there are currently three active QB’s on the roster. But there is talk of moving current QB and outstanding athlete, Logan Gray, to receiver or perhaps DB. If this happens, then Mason would be the third QB and could pass on the redshirt status and could see some playing time next year. Either way, I am glad to see the best talent in the state is staying in the state and will be playing for the Dawgs! To see more info on him including some stats, click here!

Welcome to the Bulldog Nation Hutson!
