BMW Championship!

The next round of the PGA playoffs for the FedEX Cup is taking place in Chicago at the Cog Hill Country Club. The BMW Championship is the third round of the playoffs and only the top 70 players in the point’s standings have a chance to compete and all of them have a realistic chance of wining the FedEX Cup. Last year’s FedEX Cup winner, Vijay Singh, didn’t even make it to this week since he was 81st on the points list after last weeks tournement. But the field is still full of top-notch golfers. Click here to see the current standings in the race for the cup. It is still pretty much anyones cup to win, but unless the player is in the top 10 or 12 currently, they would need to win this weekend and next to be able to take the cup home. The course this week is another tough one, but at this point, I expect them to be tough. The Dubsdread course at Cog Hill was recently redesigned by Rees Jones and made longer and tougher for the players. Thhe greens have all be redone and some include false fronts to intice the placers to go for some shots they might not normally attempt. Also, I think as the weekend progresses, the greens are going to get harder and faster which will make the already tough greens even tougher to putt on. It should make for another close finish on Sunday.
