Wine Review – 2006 Castel Sole Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico
This crisp Italian white will be an excellent companion for those warm summer evenings. This northern Italian wine has aromas of citrus and almonds with a light green color. On the palate, this medium bodied wine tastes of lemon and melon and has a nice balance of acidity that seems to linger in your mouth. It would go well with many different foods like seafood pastas or a roasted chicken dish. It retails for around $14 and is ready to drink now. Please don’t forget to serve it cold, at least 55 degrees or cooler.
