Wine Review – Arbios Cellars 2003 “Alexander Valley” Cabernet Sauvignon

Arbios Cellars makes just a single red wine, made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on a mountain top vineyard in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County. This Cab is crafted in the classic Bordeaux-style and is made with care and love. I was introduced to this wine through the California Wine Club and I am glad I got to know it. This Cab has a deep ruby color and is soft and pleasant. It has aromas of ripe berries and earth. On the palate you are hit with luscious cherry, blackberry, raspberry and herb flavors with a hint of oak. It is well balanced and has a nice, smooth finish. This cab will go nicely with grilled meats, pasta or a hearty stew. It retails for around $30 but I got it cheaper through the wine club. It is an excellent wine and if you see it around, please pick up a bottle!

Cheers!
