March Madness 09!

OK, one of the best weekends in sports starts tomorrow. I love this time of year even if my team didn’t make the tournament. Tomorrow is the start of the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament or March Madness! Even if you aren’t a fan of college basketball, you are probably filling out a bracket in the office or online. I am usually in several pools and even though I have never won, I am always confident when I turn in my bracket that I am going to win it all. Well, maybe not this year. I usually take the days between the selection announcements and the tip off of the first game to investigate the teams and do some research on the matchups. Well, since I have been out of town and I didn’t watch one shot of the conference tournaments, I am going into this years bracket pretty much blind. So, I am even more confident that I will do well since I won’t have time to over analyze anything. Just like the way that Betty from accounting that always wins the pool by picking the teams with the best mascot or uniforms, I am just going to just go on my first instinct and not do any research. Today was the first time I looked at the brackets and I was pretty surprised to see some of the teams that made it. It is going to be fun to watch and the first game tips off on Thursday just after noon on CBS. I have hadn’t of missed several days for our ski trip, I might have been sick Thursday and/or Friday!

Anyway, good luck to everyone in their office pools. I am off now to start filling out my brackets. Maybe this year I will go with the team with the best mascot or uniforms! I couldn’t do worse than I did last year!
