Well, today is the day that Matthew Stafford and Knowshon Moreno announce their intentions on where they will be playing football next year, either the NFL or back in Athens. The guys will have a press conference Wednesday at 3pm. I feel like both guys could use another year of seasoning in college before going to the pros, but that is probably just the selfish Georgia fan coming out in me. Truthfully, if they leave for the pros, I don’t blame them. I can’t say I wouldn’t make the same choice. It is hard to turn down the amount of money these guys are going to make. You never know what is going to happen! If they postpone the NFL and come back for another year, they could get hurt and never play again. But on the flip side, if the come back and have great years, they could increase the amounts of money they will get when they do get drafted. See it is a tough decision and I would be more surprised to hear they are coming back than that they are entering the draft. But I know one thing that Stafford needs to come to grips with if he goes pro, that is he will be drafted by one of the worst franchises in NFL history, either Detroit or Kansas City! Not a great thought! Moreno has a chance to go to a good team and actually play for a winner!
