Today’s practice was cancelled today because the high number of players that were going to be missing practice today due to injury or the graduation ceremony. There were 11 current Dawgs that graduated today and two former players that finished this year. The current players are: Benjamin Boyd, Ramarcus Brown, CJ Byrd, Dannell Ellerbe, Demiko Goodman, Kenneth Harris, Corvey Irvin, Wes Jacobs, Mohamed Massaquoi, Brian Mimbs and Brannan Southerland. While former players Thad Parker and Darrius Swain also walked in the ceremony. The UGA Athletic Association honored student-athletes from 13 different sports at the 21st-annual Graduation Breakfast at the Rankin Smith Center before they received their diploma at Stegeman Coliseum. The players will practice tomorrow before taking a few days off for the holidays. Their next practice will be on the 26th in Orlando.
It is good to see current players graduating and even better to see guys whose careers are over and they stuck around to get their degree. I know Coach Richt is very pleased to see that as well.Nice job Dawgs!
