Hot streak!

Just over a week ago, the Atlanta Thrashers were sitting at the bottom of their division and conference, now they are just a few points out of first in the division and right in the middle of the conference. They are on a four game winning streak and have played great lately. They got off to a very slow start going 2-7-2, but since then have won four straight. It seems they are starting to figure out new coach John Anderson’s system and they are really clicking. Also, all of this great play as been without our starting goalie, Kari Lethonen, he has been out with back spasms for several games. The reason the Thrash are winning right now is due to the production of the third and fourth lines. Those guys are really picking up the scoring load. They don’t have another game until Friday, which is pretty bad luck, when you are on a streak like the one they are on now, they want to get back on the ice as soon as possible. On Friday, they will be playing the division leading Carolina Hurricanes and will have a good chance to cut into their lead! So, get down to the Phil and support the ice birds! Check out the guy to the left! This was just after Atlanta scored thier 5th goal of the day in the Carolina arena. I love that we are giving that guy a headache!
