Basically the SEC Title comes down to the game this weekend in Jacksonville between Georgia and Florida. Both teams will have a couple more SEC games after this one, but both teams should be able to handle those teams. Currently both the Dawgs and the Gators each have a loss and they are both to SEC West teams. So neither has lost a game to an SEC East opponent and the winner of this game will be penciled in to play Alabama in the SEC Championship game at the Dome on Dec 6th! But even if these two teams were winless going into this weekend, it would still be a big game. This is one of the oldest rivalries in college football and in my opinion, the best! With Georgia leading the series 47-37 with 2 ties. So even though the Gators have dominated in the last 18 years winning 15 of those games, the overall series lead is still with the Dawgs. But I feel with the win last year, the tide is turning back towards Athens. All I know is this is a huge game for both teams, quite possibly the biggest game ever between these two teams. I am sure the Gators are plotting a retaliation for the TD celebration that the Dawgs had last year. It is all the media is talking about! Also, the media is hinting that there might be a uniform modification for the Dawgs. They are saying the Dawgs might come out in Red pants. I don’t see it happening, but I like the fact that Coach Richt isn’t saying a word!
I am pumped and can’t wait until kickoff! It is going to be a battle and it is going to be fun to watch. Kick off is at 3:30 on CBS, but the hype has been going on for 364 days now! Don’t you just love college football!Go Dawgs!
