Cancer Walks!

Over there weekend there was upwards of 9 million dollars raised for Breast Cancer research in the city of Atlanta alone. There was over 8.3 million raised in the Breast Cancer 3-Day walk and over 500K raised in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk. There was pink all over the city and it looked good!

I want to send out a special thank you to our friends who endured horrible weather on Friday and continued to walk the 20 miles a day. Kelly, Sarah and Gina, we are so proud of you guys and it means so much that you would walk in Meg’s honor. She plans on walking with you guys next year if you are up to it!
Here is Kelly and Sarah on the walk on Sunday. The weather was so much better than on Friday!

Here is Kelly, Sarah and Meg after the closing ceremonies.

Here is Gina after the closing ceremonies and three long days on the road.

Also, I want to thank Michelle and Eric Morante for organizing Team Accel for the Making Strides walk, as well as everyone who walked on the team. The turnout was great! The walk on Saturday morning was fun even with the winds whipping through Atlantic Station.

Thanks to everyone who made a contribution to the walkers or to others for these two incredible events. We really are making a difference and I still believe there will be a day when breast cancer is no longer an issue in the lives of the women we love.
