Statement game! 27-10

Well, the Dawgs went out west for the first time in forever and played a Pac 10 team. It was a good gauge to see exactly how good the Dawgs are this year and I would say they made quite a statement! It was an exciting game and the offense looked pretty good. Stafford had a great day. He was 16-28 for 285 yards and a TD. He still hasn’t thrown an interception this year! Knowshon had another stellar game going 149 yards on 23 carries with 2 TD’s. Also, he had a couple of youtube worthy runs including his first TD when he busted out side the line and jumped into the end zone from about 5 yards out over a defender! Then the triple threat of freshman receiver, AJ Green who had 8 catches for 159 yards and at TD. He is starting to come into his own on the football field! Add in a couple of field goals and we end up with 27 points. We could have had another TD but Coach Richt wasn’t going to try to make ASU look bad so only conservative plays were called. Our defense played a stellar game as well. They held the Sun Devils to only 4 yards rushing for the game. That is not to shabby!

I think the Dawgs looked good and I was glad to see the fans travel out there in large numbers. I feel like the made a statement and proved they should be in the top few spots of the polls. But that could change this weekend we the mighty Alabama Crimson Tide rolls into Athens. It is going to be a huge game and it will be a match up between two top ten teams in the SEC. It is such a big game; ESPN Gameday will be there! It is going to be a great matchup and a crazy day. Coach Richt is calling for another Blackout and they black jerseys will be worn again for this game! I can’t wait!
