Not good news!

In the quest for the National Championship, The Georgia Bulldogs will have to play the toughest schedule in the country. So it is going to be an extremely tough task to get through the schedule to even get to a National Championship game. But another thing that could influence how good the Dawgs will be this year is injuries. Every team will have some injuries, and if they are to key players that could effect their season. Well, the Dawgs had their first major injury of the year and it couldn’t be to a more critical guy.

Trinton Sturdivant who plays left tackle will have reconstructive surgery on his left knee. I haven’t been able to find out if it is an ACL or a MCL tear, but since the doctors say he will be out for the entire year, I think it is an ACL tear. I personally know how hard it is to come back from this type of surgery since I have had it done twice! But I am sure Trinton will come back even stronger. Sturdivant is the best tackle on the team and was going to be key in protecting Matthew Stafford’s blind side. Sturdivant (6-5, 293) started every game as a true freshman last season. Georgia has some options to replace Sturdivant, but they were definitely better with a healthy Sturdivant. This is a major setback for the team and hopefully it will be the worst injury the team has to deal with this season. It is still going to be a great season and keep in mind, the season starts in 18 days!

Go Dawgs!
