What a Wimbledon finial

Breakfast at Wimbledon turned into diner and drinks at the historic lawn club! As the clock turned 9:15pm in London, Roger Federer’s shot went into the net ending what could be the best men’s final ever on one of tennis’s biggest stage. Rafael Nadal collapsed to the ground after the grueling match that lasted 4 hours and 48 minutes. Nadal, who has beaten Federer several times, but never on a grass court, now holds both the French Open title and now the Wimbledon title. He is the first guy to do that since Bjorn Borg in 1980. Also, this win stops Federer's streak at 5 striaght Wimbledon wins. The match started late and had two interruptions due to weather and some could argue (especially Federer) that the match should have been suspended due to darkness. "In the last game, I didn't see nothing, it's true," Nadal said. "It was unbelievable. I thought we have to stop." It was a great match and it is too bad that someone had to lose. I am a fan of both of those guys and they are truly the best players in the game right now. It was like watching a heavy weight fight as the two competitors went toe to toe. There were some truly great shots in this match and it will go down as one of the best matches played at Wimbledon. As a mater of fact, ESPN is making it an instant classic and replaying the match tonight at 7pm on ESPN Classic. Nadal has given his home country of Spain another reason to celebrate. The Spaniards aren’t having a bad couple of weeks; first they win the European Cup and now a Wimbledon Men’s title.

Congrats Rafa!
