My middle sister Dawn had to go under the knife today to remove a cyst and some endometriosis from her ovaries. They were able to do the entire surgery laparoscopy, which is easier on her body and will reduce the recovery time. Also, they were able to leave one ovary, which will help her hormonally. Everything went well and she is recovering at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. Since they were able to do it all laparoscopy, she will only have to stay in the hospital for one night.
My Sister-in-law:
Currently my sister-in-law Leigh Ann is on bed rest at Exempla St. Joseph’s hospital in Denver, CO. She is currently 33 weeks pregnant and at 28 weeks she started leaking amniotic fluid. They were able to stop the leaking but ordered bed rest for her to try to minimize the impact on the baby. The baby is doing fine and with their last ultra sound she was weighing around 4lbs. Their original goal was to try and have the baby stay in her mommy until the 34 week mark with would be July 19th, but hopefully she will stay in there a little longer. Mommy is feeling good but bored. She can only leave the bed for 30 minutes a day and she has been using that time for wheelchair rides outside for some fresh air. But is seems the baby is doing well and is healthy. She could be here in a week or so!
