Happy 4th!

I hope everyone has a great 4th! Whether you are going on a trip to the beach or a lake or just hanging out by a pool or on a deck with friends, I hope you have a very safe and enjoyable time. Meg and I are going to be running the world famous Peachtree Road Race and then going to her parents to hang by the pool and then to the golf course for prime viewing of the Cherokee Country Club fireworks display. Besides the race, it should be a nice relaxing day with family and friends.

As for the race, I want to wish everyone who is running good luck and I want to thank all of the volunteers for their efforts. I am hoping to meet or beat my goal for the race, but I am not that confident that I will accomplish that. I have not trained nearly enough lately and I am sure the family record is not in jeopardy. My goal is to finish under 50 minutes, not to beat the family record; I think that it is safe for a long, long time. Anyway, I hope all my readers have a safe and happy holiday weekend!

Happy Birthday America!
