"Top Chef" Finale

Tonight is the final episode of “Top Chef 4” and it is set up to be a good one. They are down to three and one of the finalists is from Atlanta. Richard Blais currently works as a culinary designer and consultant. He has worked at some of the best restaurants in the Atlanta area including; Fishbone, One Midtown Kitchen, Piebar, Bazzaar, Elevation and even at his own restaurant BLAIS. He is known for using fresh, seasonal ingredients and pushing the boundaries of traditional and conceptual cooking. He has won more challenges than any of the other finalists (7) and is a strong favorite to win. He is definitely the guy I am pulling for!

The two people he is going up against are good chefs, but I don’t feel they are up to the level of Richard. Stephanie currently lives in Chicago and has cooked at some of the finest restaurants in the city. She has won 6 challenges and has been cooking some daring and interesting dishes, but tends to be more traditional. She does have a shot to win because she has realized how to cook to impress the judges and she has been constantly sharp. I would not be surprised to see her walk away with the title. As for the other finalist, Lisa, she should have no shot at winning. She has been in the bottom two for the last 5 or 6 challenges and I feel like she should have been gone several weeks ago. But somehow the native Canadian has managed to stay alive. She has a bad attitude and always blames her mistakes on the other chef’s in the kitchen. I feel that Antonia should be there now and not Lisa.

The last challenge takes place in Puerto Rico and anything can happen. I am excited to see the last episode and I feel confident that Richard will come out on top. But if he tries to get to nifty and makes some crazy off the wall dishes that the judges don’t like, the title will probably go to Stephanie. I know she won’t be to crazy and will play it safe. The show airs at 10pm on Bravo and the heat is on! It should be high drama!
