Meg is feeling so much better today, the fifth day after treatment, than any other round of chemo so far. Perhaps it is the shots of Procrit finally getting her red blood cell counts up and giving her energy? Or perhaps it is the fact that her body has gotten used to dealing with the drugs? Or perhaps it is the fact that she has her appetite back and that is giving her energy? Or perhaps is it a mental thing and she knows that all of the chemo treatments are behind her and that is making her feel better? Or perhaps it is a combination of all of those things? All I know is she is doing so well, I can’t even believe it! Don’t get me wrong, she is still not 100%, she still has bad bone pain due to both the Taxotere and the Neupogen shots, but the pain can be managed with the pain pills. She also tires easily, but that is expected. But overall, she is doing amazing for this stage of her recovery. I have been a little nervous about her having a delayed reaction, but after 5 days, if she hasn’t been hit hard, I don’t think it is going to happen. That makes me happier than you know! She has been thought so much; she deserves an easy recovery from her last treatment!
This is the place to see my thoughts on life and the world in which I live.
