2 Days later

Meg seems to be having a little better time recovering from this round of chemo. She is still not good, but things seem to be a little better at this point then they have been with the last few rounds. She is still extremely tired, but doesn’t seem to be as nauseous and she does have somewhat of an appetite. She has been taking large doses of glucosamine to conteract the bone and joint pain and that seems to be helping. There could be some lingering steroids in her system which would explain her feeling a little better than she usually feels on day 2. They gave her more steroids this time around because she didn’t take them the day before like the previous round. Those things made her crazy! She has been getting extreme hot flashes which she didn’t have much of last time. She goes from freezing to extremely hot and flush in a matter of minutes. This is another fun side effect of the Taxotere. But right now, she is doing better on day 2 after treatment then she did last time. Let’s hope she continues to improve!
