Set in the Net!

The Atlanta Thrashers have re-signed restricted free agent goaltender Ondrej Pavelec to a multiple-year contract, according to General Manager Rick Dudley. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. This means that the Thrashers have two well established goal tenders on the roster. In addition to Pavelec, Chris Mason will also spend some time guarding the net for the Ice Birds. Both of these guys have proven they are top NHL goalies and I am sure they will each get their share of starts this coming season. But what it really gives the Thrashers are two starting goalies on the same team. This is not very common in the NHL. This is another nice signing by Rick Dudley. I am excited to get the season under way. Training camp is just around the corner and the games start in September!

Go Thrashers!
