Ben and Jerry’s new flavor

Every spring, ice cream moguls Ben and Jerry come out with new flavors. This year there is a special flavor that will start off with a temporary status but could become permanent if it proves to be popular.

In honor of one of the biggest and best music and arts festivals in the country, Ben and Jerry’s Ice Cream has come up with a new flavor. “Bonnaroo Buzz” will be available starting May 4th. Here is the press release.

After having paid tribute to Bonnaroo staples such as Phish and Dave Matthews Band with ice cream flavors like “Phish Food” and “One Sweet Whirled,” the kings of frozen confections are treating the festival itself to a signature flavor this year.

“Bonnaroo Buzz” will be featured at the festival this summer and in Ben & Jerry’s shops around the country. If the new confection gains popularity, Ben & Jerry’s will give it the real star treatment by rolling it out in pint form to grocery stores.

The new flavor contains “light coffee & malt ice cream with whiskey caramel swirls & English toffee pieces.” You can try it yourself at participating Ben & Jerry’s Scoop Shops May 4, at the ice cream’s official Flavor Release Party.
