Wine Review – Buttonwood Farm 2007 Sauvignon Blanc

This is another wine that I was introduced to by being a member of the California Wine Club. Buttonwood Farm Winery is located just outside of Santa Ynez, California between San Francisco and LA. Their Sauvignon Blanc is their signature wine and this vintage lives up to the signature status. It is dry and crisp very refreshing. It is a very light straw color in the glass and has aromas of floral and honeysuckle. You can tastes citrus, honeydew and minerals and it would go great with seafood and goat cheeses. Or you can drink it like we did as an aperitif! It was just what the wine doctor ordered on a warm summer evening! This bottle retails for around $16 and is a little cheaper on their web site.

Cheers!
