All-SEC Team

The preseason All-SEC Teams have been named and there are two UGA players on the first team. Sophomore wide receiver A.J. Green and junior linebacker Rennie Curran were named to the preseason All-SEC first team by the league’s coaches. Green was one of two sophomores voted to the first team, joining fellow receiver Julio Jones of Alabama.

There were seven Georgia players were named second- or third-team all-conference. Offensive linemen Clint Boling and Cordy Glenn, defensive tackle Geno Atkins and cornerback Prince Miller made the second team, while defensive tackle Jeff Owens, offensive tackle Trinton Sturdivant and safety Reshad Jones made the third team.

I know preseason predictions rarely hold up, but I feel like this will help build the guys confidence and give them a little more motivation to play well this year. Most of the country isn’t expecting much out of the Dawgs this year since Stafford and Moreno left, but sometimes teams play much better without big name players. I can’t wait to find out. Kick off against OK St is just 50 days away!

Go Dawgs!
