NHL Playoffs on VERSUS!

Well even though my Thrashers season is over and they didn’t make the playoffs or even get the number one draft pick (I think the draft lottery is rigged, no one team in the lottery moved from the place they were scheduled to pick originally. I don’t know of any drawing that would end that way!) There is still great hockey to be played and the second NHL season starts tonight! The first round of the playoffs begin tonight and in the US, the place to see the games is on VERSUS. This is the fourth year the network will have the exclusive cable rights to the games. The wall-to-wall coverage begins at 6:30 with a special playoffs preview Hockey Central. Following the playoff preview, they will televise a first round double hitter. The first game will be between the Pittsburg Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers and the puck drops at 7pm. Then after that, the Vancouver Canucks will face off against the St. Louis Blues. That game will start around 10pm. Each night throughout the postseason, VERSUS will televise at least one game, however most nights during the first two rounds will feature a doubleheader. Also, every night they televise a game, they will also have a pre and post game Hockey Central. I really enjoy the guys on Hockey Central. I feel like they do a great job of breaking down the games. As a whole, I also feel that VERSUS does a great with these games. The announcers are solid and the in between period interviews are always direct and to the point. I am looking forward to another exciting playoff push for the cup and some exciting hockey on VERSUS!

We want the Cup!
