Florida trip highlights

Last week we traveled down to New Smyrna Beach, Florida and spent most of the Thanksgiving week down there. It was pretty cool the first day we were there but the rest of the days were sunny and warm. The ocean was way to cold to swim in, but the pool was heated and was very nice. We also spent one afternoon at Blue Springs State Park checking out the manatees that migrate there every winter. While we were there, I over heard a park ranger say there were 170 or so manatees in the area that day. I am not sure how accurate that was, but I do know that is the most manatees I have ever seen in one place. It was pretty cool! Also there was plenty of other fish, turtles and even a couple of alligators spotted while we were there. It really is a beautiful place. Overall the trip was good, but the travel back home was brutal. They aren't lying when they call the Sunday after Thanksgiving the busiest travel day of the year! It sucked!

Here are some shots from our trip! Here is a beautiful Florida sunset. Olivia Leslie turned 9 on Thanksgiving day. Notice the turkey cake! Here is one of the many manatees we saw at Blue Springs. Here are couple more manatees!
Here are Mac and Henry at Blue Springs.
