Mr. Clean Turns 50!

Those of you, who know me well, know that I am a little bit of a neat freak. I am not OCD, but I like things clean. Well someone else who likes things clean just turned 50, Proctor and Gamble’s Mr. Clean! Created in 1958 in Chicago by ad artist Ernie Allen, Mr. Clean was launched 50 years ago this month. Along with Thomas Scott Cadden’s impossible-to-eject from-your-cranium jingle (Chorus: Mr. Clean gets rid of dirt and grime/ And grease in just a minute/ Mr. Clean will clean your whole house/ And everything that’s in it.). Here is a shot of the original version of Mr. Clean and the one used today.
