Moreno’s hurdle highlight missing!

One of the best plays of the Georgia game last weekend against Central Michigan (it is going to be one of the best plays of the year) was not shown on any of the national sports shows over the weekend. The play where Knowshon Moreno gets the handoff, bust outside the line then cuts back into the middle of the field and hurdles the free safety to gain several more yards, was held out of the Georgia highlights package on both ESPN and Fox Sports. ESPN didn’t not include it in the 10 tops plays of the day and when Coach Richt was asked about this in his weekly teleconference call he had this to say; “I think they missed the boat or didn't do their homework or something. Normally they do a good job with that, so it looks like somebody would have noticed that. It didn't make their highlights, but it's going to make ours for a long time." This has become a hot topic among the Georgia fans on the fan sites and they are claiming there is a conspiracy against the Dawgs and Moreno. I don’t know if there is a conspiracy against UGA or Knowshon, but I agree ESPN and the other national shows don’t give the Dawgs nearly the coverage that USC, Ohio St., Florida, Oklahoma, or even Notre Dame get. We are currently 2nd in the polls and was pre-season #1 yet we only get about 15-30 seconds of highlights after the games. ESPN Sports Center anchor Scott Van Pelt has even chimmed in on the controversy. He stated on the Dawgvent, that ESPN chose to go with the highlight of Knowshon stiff arming a defender and then diving into the corner of the end zone instead of the hurdle highlight. Granted, that was a great highlight as well, but it was not nearly as memorable. My question to Mr. Van Pelt is why couldn’t we get a longer highlight package where all of the good or great plays could be seen? We are the second ranked team and deserve more than 15 seconds when we beat a team with statically speaking, has the best QB in the game.

Here is a shot of the hurdle!
