The US women were able to repeat as Olympic Gold Medalist yesterday in Beijing! It was not a pretty game and to tell you the truth, Brazil looked a lot better. Brazil seemed to control the ball so much better and definitely had better scoring chances. But they weren’t able to get the ball in the back of the net and that is what matters most. While American Carli Lloyd was able to get one past their goalie in the 6th minute of overtime. US goalie, Hope Solo, did a great job of stoping 15 shots. Some of which were right on the doorstep! Like I said, it wasn’t pretty, but a win is a win and that is all that matters!
