Bracketology

Well, it is almost time to get your brackets into the office pool for NCAA Tournament that begins tomorrow just after noon. Due to our circumstances last fall and this winter, I haven’t paid much attention to college hoops. But that doesn’t mean that I am not fully involved in March Madness! I love this time of the year and this weekend is one of the best weekends in sports. There are games all day long and every score has an impact on the brackets and on my state of mind. I know it is all fun and games but for some reason I take it personally if I don’t pick the winner of a game. That is the perfectionist coming out in me!

Maybe this year will be different since I haven’t really been following the regular season and I won’t take every loss so hard. I didn’t get into it until Georgia started their incredible run in the SEC Tournament last weekend. So everyone get their brackets in and sit back for a great weekend of college hoops! Also, keep in mind, there is always a big upset in the first round, good luck figuring out who that will be. I for one hope it is Georgia over Xavier! Which happens to be the first game (besides the play in game) of the tournament. Another tip, don’t pick all the number 1 seeds to make it to the finial four. Since 1979, there has not been one time where all 4 number 1 seeds have made it to the final four and only 3 times has 3 number 1 seeds made it to the final four. So pick wisely!
