Wine Review – Andretti 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon

Retired racecar driver, Mario Andretti, founded the Andretti Winery in 1996. He shows the same desire to be the best that he had on the track but now with his wines. I have had several of his Selection Series wines and they are all good, drinkable wines. But the best one I have tasted is the 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon. This big cab is a rich purple color and the nose has intense aromas of berries and spice. It is very fruit forward with berry and cherry flavors and a touch of oaky vanilla on the finish. This wine will go nicely with a variety of foods.

Cheers!

This wine is the fastest way to a headache

FSUDawg, I think you might be thinking of the Merlot. That is a lot cheaper and has some rough tannins, I can see that it would cause a headache. But this Cab is very smooth and costs considerably more, I didn’t have any hangover after this bottle.
